     The BMW E60, with a total production number amounting over a staggering 1.3 million, cemented itself as the classic executive car, and as the prime example of a four door saloon. And one prime example is this one, spotted on a cloudy day within the small neighborhood streets of Quezon City. With its German roots and iconic looks, the E60 was a success from the start.      The E60 began its development process way back in 1997, five years before its release. The fifth gen 5 Series went on to become one of BMW's best-selling vehicles until its closure in 2010.      A classic E36 was seen sitting right outside in the sun on a Tuesday afternoon. Despite its age, the shiny coat of paint, the clean and dent-free body of the old Beamer gave it a look like it just came out of the assembly line three months ago.      The BMW E36 was produced by the German carmaker during the years 1990 to the year 2000. It was sold in many different variants, such as the sedan, the coupe, the convertible, the wagon, the hatchback and the rare 4-door convertible which was only available for a short amount of time.      A few of these variants, such as this sedan, were made locally as semi-knocked down kits, with the parts imported from abroad then assembled here in the country. These domestically made vehicles were built at BMW's own Santa Rosa plant in Laguna.
